Overview

  • Dr. Sara Galli received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where she graduated with highest honors. She graduated summa cum laude with a medical degree from the University of Louisville. Following this, she completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.Dr. Galli completed her fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Galli is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society. Her experience with OrthoCarolina has prepared her to treat the breadth of foot and ankle conditions.Dr. Galli has a particular interest in Charcot neuroarthropathy and the deformity it causes. She has training in surgical techniques aimed at limb salvage. In addition, she specializes in ankle replacements, tendon disorders of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle sports injuries including Achilles rupture or sprains and instability, arthroscopy (ankle scopes), Achilles disorders, bunions, hammertoes and all foot and ankle trauma (fractures).
