Emily Lawrentz is part of the total joint replacement team in the orthopedic department. She sees patients in clinic and serves as a first assist in the operating room for hip and knee replacement surgeries. She received her masters of science in physician assistant studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh in 2012. Emily also received a masters in public health in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh. She is board-certified by the National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Emily worked as a research assistant in epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh and in a biomedical engineering research lab at the Cleveland Clinic. She was a student athletic trainer in college and assistant women's soccer coach at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. She continues to play soccer in her free time.
