Dr. Mowad completed his medical degree and residency training at Louisiana State University Health - Shreveport where he also completed a one-year fellowship in general surgery. He now lives in New Orleans, where he aims to build a broad practice in general surgery focusing on minimally invasive hernia repair and colon surgery. When he isn't working, Dr. Mowad enjoys spending time with his family, Saints football, travel, soccer and music and food festivals.Dr. Mowad is available to see patients patients experiencing issues related to abdominal pain, adrenal gland, gallbladder or gallstones, hernia evaluation, hiatal hernia/GERD/heartburn, lumps/bumps/cyst removal, melanomas/skin cancers, thymus and thyroid and parathyroid.
