Dr. Zaken graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky and earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville. He completed his internship, residency and rheumatology fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa. A fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, Dr. Zakem is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and has been on staff at Ochsner since the end of 2000.
