Overview

  • Dr. Valle treats neurosurgical disorders of the brain and spine. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Católica de Guayaquil, in Ecuador where he was awarded with the Senescyt Diploma for obtaining the highest academic achievement amongst all medical schools in his country. Dr. Valle completed his neurosurgery residency at Tulane University, in New Orleans, focusing in the open and minimally invasive treatment of simple and complex spine disorders. After residency, he completed a fellowship in neurovascular neurosurgery and neurovascular critical care at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for Neurosciences, one of the busiest neurovascular centers in the country. Dr. Valle is one of the few dual trained endovascular and open vascular neurosurgeons in the country, and he is the only one in his kind in the Neurosurgery Department at Ochsner. When possible, Dr. Valle prefers to treat patients with endovascular or minimally invasive surgical techniques in order to reduce recovery time. His philosophy is to treat his patients as if they were a member of his own family. Dr. Valle also speaks Spanish.
