Overview

  • Dr. George Isa earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Following graduation he completed his internship and residency in New Orleans at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Isa also completed a cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Foundation Hospital and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Scott & White Clinic/Texas A&M in Temple, Texas. Dr. Isa is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His medical interests are in cardiovascular disease prevention, and he specializes in complex cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions including angioplasty/ stenting, carotid stenting, limb salvage, renovascular hypertension and mechanical thrombectomy. Dr. Isa has been a staff member of Ochsner Health since 2007.
