Overview

  • Dr. Georgia Lea joined Ochsner in August of 2008 after parents and extended family drew her to the area from North Carolina. She specializes in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders. She completed her medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she went on to perform her internship at Morehouse School of Medicine Hospitals. Dr. Lea finished her residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She went on to complete a fellowship at the Alton Ochsner Foundation in movement disorders. Dr. Lea is an associate professor at Tulane Medical School, a lecturer at the Queensland University School of Medicine, and a volunteer clinical faculty member.
