Melissa completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University in 2008. She then received her Masters in Nursing in 2011 from Loyola University. She completed her AANP Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Melissa comes to Ochsner with 17 years of clinical experience. This includes ten years of nursing in the emergency department and five years of APRN in the emergency department. She currently works alongside Dr. Ladner in the orthopedics department. Melissa's orthopedic surgical interests include arthroscopy and joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder, orthopedic trauma, foot, ankle and hand surgery, as well as general orthopedics.
