Dr. Lafleur, a native of Ville Platte received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where he was a four year member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society. He completed clinical rotations at The Eye Center at SCO in Memphis, Steen-Hall Eye Institute at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport and Bossier Family Eyecare in Bossier City. He is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for treatment and management of ocular disease and holds an optometric license with therapeutic and advanced procedure privileges in Louisiana. He practices primary care optometry with a special interest in glaucoma and ocular disease at Ochsner Health Center-Summa (Bluebonnet) in Baton Rouge. Dr. Lafleur has been on staff at Ochsner since 2013.
