Dr. Julie Jeansonne was born and raised in Metairie, LA, and is so happy to be living back in her hometown now that her medical training is complete. She attended Archbishop Chapelle for high school and then moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU for her undergraduate degree. She then attended LSU Health Shreveport where she completed her medical degree. Her residency training was completed at University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, where she was the Chief Resident. While in her residency, her awards included Best Intern, Best Reproductive Endocrinology Resident, Best Female Pelvic Floor Resident, Best Gynecology Resident, Best Robotic Surgeon Resident, and the Resident's Choice award.Dr. Jeansonne provides a wide range of OB/GYN care including obstetrics, gynecology and minimally invasive gynecological surgery, preconception and fertility counseling and care, and adolescent gynecology. Dr. Jeansonne's goal is to provide the best possible care to the women of the New Orleans area within a caring and compassionate environment where open discussion between a patient and their doctor is valued. She looks forward to forming long-lasting relationships with her patients throughout their lives as they experience everything from pregnancy to postpartum care, menopause, and any gynecologic needs that may arise.
