Dr. Reichel received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in 2001. Subsequently, he started a medical residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2001 through 2004. He completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco from 2004 through 2007. Dr. Reichel is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. His area of interest is acute renal failure. Dr. Reichel has considerable research experience and received in Ph.D. in biochemistry. His post-doctoral work culminated in the discovery of the E2F transcription factor.
