Overview

  • Dr. Khandker received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Following this he completed his internship and residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his fellowship in Neurocritical Care at University of PIttsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Khandker is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2018 and practicing medicine since 2012. Dr. Khandker's expertise is in management of critically ill patients with a focus on neurologic disease including complicated stroke, seizure, neuromuscular weakness, infections and inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system. He is currently completing a fellowship in Epilepsy with a focus on Critical Care Electroencephalography (EEG) at Ochsner Clinic, exploring the use of EEG technology in patients suffering from complicated seizures and vascular disease.
