Dr. Elise McIver received her doctorate degree in psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and completed an internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She then went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the Ochsner Health Center for Children - Live Oak in Covington, Louisiana. Dr. McIver has been on staff at Ochsner since 2018.
Dr. McIver is a licensed psychologist, licensed behavior analyst, and board-certified behavior analyst. She specializes in the provision of outpatient psychological and behavioral health services to children and adolescents. She also specializes in parent, caregiver, and teacher training and has provided consultative services to public and private schools related to both academic and behavioral interventions. Dr. McIver is passionate about and dedicated to the delivery of comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic services aimed to improve the lives of children and their families across the state of Louisiana.
