Overview

  • Alexis Rabalais, MSW, LCSW is a Louisiana native returning to her roots from Chicago where she practiced psychotherapy at AMITA Health Presence Saint Joseph hospital. Alexis has worked in behavioral health since 2010 when she began working at Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation, while completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge. She furthered her practice in mental health by training at the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center in 2011, specializing in crisis intervention. She remained with the center throughout her Master's of Social Work (MSW) program at LSU. During the master's program, Alexis focused on her research on survivors of suicide and the grief process. Her research was published in 2016. Alexis became licensed in social work after completing her MSW in 2015. In Chicago, Alexis provided individual and group psychotherapy, in both inpatient and outpatient settings in the behavioral health department at Saint Joseph Hospital. Alexis specializes in providing psychotherapy, in the form of CBT, crisis intervention, interpersonal processing therapy, and solution-focused therapy to adults and families struggling with depression, anxiety, mood management, loss, and interpersonal relationships.
