Overview

  • Dr. Osvaldo Camilo was born and raised in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, where he received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo and worked as a general practitioner. He then completed a neurology residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also completed an epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center followed by the completion of a cerebrovascular disease fellowship at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. After completing his fellowship training, Dr. Camilo gained experience in both outpatient and inpatient hospital settings. His main areas of interest are hyperacute/acute stroke management and the design of protocols for acute management of neurological emergencies.
