Dr. Benjamin Brown completed a dual bachelor's degree of science in electrical engineering and computer engineering at Louisiana State University in 2001 and received his medical degree in 2006 from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at LSU Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2013 followed by a cerebrovascular and endovascular fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He is board certified in neurologic surgery. Dr. Brown joins Ochsner Health from the Mayo Clinic in Florida and has been in practice for five years. His clinical interests include disorders of the spine and brain including tumors, aneurysms, carotid disease, acute stroke, degenerative spinal conditions, trigeminal neuralgia, and others. He utilizes both open and minimally invasive techniques as well as endovascular approaches.
