Overview

  • Dr. Salima Qamruddin completed medical school at the Aga Khan University in Pakistan, followed by an internship and residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. She then completed three fellowships: Advanced Echocardiography (Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH), Cardiovascular Disease (University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA) and Ocho Cardiopathy (University of Southern California Los Angeles, CA).Dr. Qamruddin is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography, and she holds a Certification in Cardiovascular Disease. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2016 and practicing medicine since 2001. She is a faculty member in non-invasive cardiology at the Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute and a lecturer at the University of Queensland. Dr. Qamruddin's expertise is in non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography and women's heart health.
