Overview
- Dr. Tyrone Collins earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. He completed his internship at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. followed by his residency and a fellowship in cardiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, also in Washington, D.C. Dr. Collins is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1989. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. His expertise includes complex coronary and peripheral angioplasty, carotid stenting, valvuloplasty, limb salvage, renovascular hypertension, brachytherapy, thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy, and laser revascularization.
